Matriarchy is an homage to the boundary-breaking, bad-ass women who not only changed society and the music industry with their immense talent and unapologetic authenticity, but who also “raised” me into the artist I am today.

The legendary women featured in this show, including Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton, and Tina Turner to name a few, created the blueprint for all musicians looking to follow in their footsteps. My greatest aspiration for Matriarchy is to celebrate and honor these icons and their countless achievements, as I truly believe the world would be a better (definitely more fabulous) place if fearless, pioneering women like them were in charge.

I have recruited a very special group of women I deeply admire to help me bring this dream to life. Overflowing with charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, I am honored to be sharing the stage with the imcomparable Tianna Gray, Miyuki Hata, Teigan Lang, Chloe Finlay, Helen Spacie, and Kyra Teague.

I cannot wait for you to see the magic we have been creating together.

When I met Kana-san and saw her work at an art exhibition in a local cafe earlier this year, I immediately knew I wanted her to be part of my creative team for this project. I loved her bold style and thought it would perfectly convey the vision I had for the show’s promotional materials. I am truly honored to be the subject of Kana-san’s interpretation of “The Empress” tarot card for the show’s poster. Teigan Lang

Choreographer

A joy to work with both on and off stage, Teigan was one of the first people I asked to be part of Matriarchy. As a truly gifted choreographer, I knew her skills would bring the show to a whole new level. I am so grateful to be able to showcase her work while also having the privilege of performing alongside her in this concert.
